About Me

Ayah Abushama (she/her/hers)

I am currently on my third year at UC Berkeley, studying Computer Science and Cognitive Science. I am lucky enough to have been chosen for the Fiat Lux Scholarship, a four year full scholarship, that allows me the time to study two disciplines. This niche within the world of tech allows me to explore my passions within the humanities and the biological & psychological worlds, while being able to put those concepts and make them reality through technology and algorithms.

I am interested in AI development and Machine Learning, as well as Natural Language Processing, but my main skillset currently lies in back end development. I particularly enjoy coding in C, Java, Python and SQL, but can also code in RISC-V (a lovely language, I know).

In my free time, you'll find me reading, trying out a different style of embroidery, knitting, cooking, and gardening. Essentially, I keep myself busy with the same things most grandmothers enjoy. I also love spending my Saturdays with my youngest sister, which we now call "Sisterday", and watching anything Disney.
